Monday April 28 - A Monday Photo Gallery to get you through the day
Here's a little photo gallery to pick up your spirits on this grueling Monday.

Friday April 25 - Tomorrow's Prom!
Hey Prommers,
This is a simple little letter addressing all of you before you go out on the town tomorrow night.
First of all, make sure you have your tuxedo and dresses squared away, because the last thing you want is to have a wardrobe malfunction and not even make it to prom. Make sure Mom and Dad have given you plenty of money to take your prom date to the best restaurant in Chattanooga before hand, and backup money in case of an emergency. The event is being held at the Hunter Museum, so don't forget to actually show up there, but not necessarily on time. Fashionably late looks good on everyone. I don't think it's supposed to rain tomorrow but don't be afraid to sneak a rain jacket or two into the car just to be safe. Speaking of being safe, this brings me to my final and most important point. You're upperclassman going to prom tomorrow, so make sure you act like it. If you refuse to have a family-friendly night, just be sure that you're always putting yourself in the safest scenario throughout the entire day. Be safe and have a wonderful time, don't forget to take lots of pictures either.
-Sincerely,
Everyone with Common Sense on Signal Mountain

Wednesday April 23 - Chop Chop! Things to do before the end of the year
As the year is coming to a close, most of your brains have shut off completely, teachers included. But wait! There's some things you need to make sure you've thought about before you can walk out those doors and leave for the summer.
Do you have any library books you need to turn in? What about any sort of fees? (That's you seniors), Lost a textbook? Find it or prepare to pay an arm and a leg to replace it. EOC's? Actually if you have any end of the year exams, you need to be getting the exam schedule now and start planning ahead for what nights you need to study and which nights you need to take off. Seniors need to pick up their last senior lunch form in the office next week, and I don't think that they're required to come back after lunch, so make sure you get all of that sorted out. And one last thing to pick on for the seniors. If you are exempt from any exams, make sure you know that before the exam day so you don't have to come to class, or to make sure you don't accidentally miss a day you need to take an exam in. We're in the final stretch! Finish strong.
Once school is over, you'll be just as happy as these kids getting to leave school.

Tuesday April 22 - Spring Playlist
After the Easter Holiday, we're in full force of Spring. That means you're gonna need some jammin' spring tunes to spice up your sunny afternoon. Here's some Top hits that you can check out. I'm sure they're all on iTunes too, so if you're still one of those people who pays for music, feel free to find all the songs for purchase there.
The Top Tunes of Spring 2014
- Steve Aoki - Boneless. This jam comes to you as one of those iconic electronic dub-step type songs that get you really pumped up, and you don't really have any idea why.
- Burn - Ellie Goulding. A classic radio song that you feel like you've heard 100 times but hasn't gotten completely old yet.
- Happy - Pharrell Williams. This is one of those songs that makes you really happy or really ticks you off. I am the latter, but regardless a lot of people like this song so I had to throw it on here.
- Dark Horse - Katy Perry. If you don't burst out singing this song, you're not American.
- We like to Party - Showtek (Slander & NGHTMRE Remix) - Another one of those really crazy dub-step songs that will likely blow your mind.
- Counting Stars - One Republic. Another generic radio song that just had to be thrown in here solely based off of popularity.
- The Man - Aloe Blacc. This song is for those of you who watch a lot of ESPN.
These are only a few ideas to get you started on your Spring Playlist. Obviously everyone has different taste so naturally some people will like certain songs and others will not. Find your happy medium.
Monday April 21 - Welcome Back
Believe me. I know. You don't want to be here today, I don't want to be here today, and your teachers sure as heck don't want to be here today. It's the Monday after Spring Break, which means that last night you had to return to a regular sleeping schedule. Or maybe you didn't. Either way, you're going to miserable today and everyone knows it. I'd love to tell you that everyone else feels the same distaste for school that you do, but keep in mind that you will encounter at least one "Sunshine Sally" today who has been anxious to get back to school the second they left at 2:25 last Friday. Just put on a smile and wave, they shouldn't engage you too much if you're just polite. There arent any tips that I could offer to help you make it through today, because today is just going to suck regardless. Make it through today though, and you'll get back into your school routine by tomorrow and be fine. Up on the agenda this coming weekend is prom, so all you prommers have that to look forward to. Only a few weeks of school left this year, don't start slacking now though because the last stretch of the race is usually the most important.
Friday April 11 - Spring Break 2K14
Grab your towel, trunks, and Tank tops, because Spring Break has finally arrived. For those of you who are traveling to Florida, I urge you to pack lots of snacks and waters in the car because everybody knows how long a 7 hour trip lasts, especially if you are in the car with any younger siblings or older relatives. Netlfix is generally accesible on the road, just make sure you have plenty of data in your plan to spare, or unlimited data for those of you who are spoiled. Spring Break is a good way for students and teachers alike to relax and take time away from some responsibilities. (Although I know that a few teachers will always give you work over the duration of the break.) If you're staying in town for this break, try checking out some new movies or something. Don't see "Draft Day" though, because nobody wants to see a Kevin Costner movie about the Celevland Browns. Just take it easy this next week and make sure that school is the last thing on your mind for at least a few days before picking up any necessary responsibilities. Enjoy your break Eagles!

Thursday April 10 - Interesting Club Ideas that would Likely Be Shot Down
You've probably heard of the National Honor society, Beta club, and maybe even the Skeet shooting club. But here are some hypothetical clubs that should have been approved.
1. The Spicy food club. The spicy food club is exclusive to individuals who enjoy hot food and hot sauce. A weekly review would be listed, discussing the quality and spiciness of a particular hot sauce and food item. Members can usually be seen in the lunch room playing with their food.
2. The Snapchat Club. Members of the snapchat club are always seen taking pictures of their food and their faces. Club meets on days that the members are having the best hair days.
3. The Duct Tape Club. Duct tape club members can generally be seen in the quad trying to start small fires, doing donuts in the parking lot, or crafting duct tape wallets after school in the gym. Member admission depends on the size of the potential candidate's tires.
4. The Pirate Society. Arrg. The Pirate society is full of barbarians with spotty facial hair. These members have no sense of hygiene and are usually found loitering around the dumpsters behind the school.
5. The Breakfast Club. Classic.
6. Medieval Warfare Club. Or "The Camelot Club", these members are usually found in the media center playing dungeons and dragons, or dressing up like knights and princesses. These kids are not very social and usually don't hang out with anyone outside of the club. Favorite club activities include jousting, dueling, and the crafting of spells.
7. The Fraternity. The fraternity club consists of members who like to dress to impress. Members can also be seen on the front lines of any student section at sporting events screaming their heads off in support of our Eagles. The average tardy per week of a fraternity member is 3.5.
I think someone should at least try to propose one of these club ideas for next year. It could be beneficial to all the pirates, nerds, and frat stars in the school.
